But it is very complicated as Maharishi Atharvan and Maharishi Angirasa both co authored Atharva Veda together. @JoeAgneya Kayanian is named after Kavi Cayaman the leader of the clans opposing Sudas and Bharatas. For your reference Rigveda 7.18.
There is also one king called Abhyavartin Cayamana who is grandfather of Kavi Cayamana.

@RahulThinksSo @BhagwaanUvacha All Devas are also called Asuras in Old Layers of Rig Veda. Even Lord Indra and Lord Indra’s wife Mother Indrani is said to daughter of an Asura Chief Puloman. Devas or Suras break away from Asura group and form their own group. It is very complicated.

@RahulThinksSo @BhagwaanUvacha Zend Avesta can be termed as an extension of Atharva Veda. Zoroaster or Zarathustra was also called An Atharvan not Bhrigu in Avesta.
And Atharva Veda also has Old and New Layers like all Vedas. Even with sanskrit learning it is tough to read as it is not refined.

Maharishi Atharvan Belonged to Bhrigu lineage. It was more of an Atharvan-Angirasa Split that some clans from Bhrigu went westwards not all. The Schism was always there as you can find early layers of Rig Veda too.

@thepathakarpit @BhagwaanUvacha For Instance Sukracharya or Kavi Ushanas who is a Bhargava or Belongs to Bhrigu Clan. He first is said to be a divine ally of Lord Indra and with Kutsa (Angirasa) helps to defeat Shushna the Drough Demon, but also becomes somewhat An Anti Deva in later verses.
