1/n From 1–3 June 2026 in Gitega, Burundi, SALT brought together fisheries experts from LTA Member States, FAO and TAFIRI to validate the Regional Fish Stock Assessment Report for the three main pelagic fish species of Lake Tanganyika.
The LTA Secretariat organized a local consultation workshop for the LTA SAP review process in Kigoma, URT, on May 28–29, 2026. This same activity has done in Burundi and it will be done also in DRC and Zambia.

Visite d’experts du Port d’Anvers-Bruges International au SALT,17/4/26 pour collecter des données sur le Port de Bujumbura afin d’élaborer un diagnostic permettant d’identifier les besoins en renforcement des capacités et de soutenir la création d’un centre régional de formation.
