Also, the fact that nowadays we tend to see more hard than soft magic is, imho, a consequence of our world becoming more accustomed to technology, and it's not necessarily a bad thing.
That said, soft magic has its place and doesn't deserve to disappear
I may be a little biased here because my favorite worlds are the ones from Nanoha and Symphogear, where magic IS science - and this shows even in the worlds I'm trying to create (I also like math, physics and work as a programmer, so It definitely is a bias)
(1/?)
But still, imho magic is fun! Both hard and soft magic is. I tend more on the hard side, but that doesn't mean that I outright rejected soft magic systems.
What I'm trying to say is that everything has a place and the absence/presence of magic, or even how hard the system is it totally depends on the setting, tone and theme of the story you're engaging with.
Happy AmeSoyo is continuing beyond the MyGO anime story. Let's support! The official release is available for free, and it even has an English translation.
The currently free episode is the legendary one, too. Now's the perfect time to jump in! https://t.co/uf97LDcJ4c
