Without expecting anything in return, he answers countless questions, guides travellers to the correct trains, and helps them reach their destinations on time.

A video of his daily act of kindness recently went viral on social media, with many commuters sharing stories of how he had helped them during their first visit or busy rush hours. After assisting passengers for two hours, Patil heads to his own job, continuing to inspire people with his simple yet selfless service.

​On 5 July, a car with tinted windows was reportedly driven at high speed on the wrong side of the road and struck two pedestrians near Inorbit Mall.

​A case has been registered at @BangurNagarPS under BNS sections 281, 125, 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), and 352, along with sections 184, 177, and 194(b)(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act. Further investigation is underway.

Today 27th of June 2026 is the 30th wedding anniversary of the first couple of Indian chess - Vishy Anand and his better half Aruna Anand. They came together in 1996. Aruna, who was a newcomer to the chess world back then, has firmly established herself as one of the most important personalities in the the chess ecosystem.

While Vishy Anand let his moves do the talking over the years, Aruna handled just about everything in the backend. She has not just been Anand's better half, but also his manager. Together the duo revolutionized Indian chess.

Anand and Aruna have seen a lot of challenges in their life and have navigated them brilliantly. And with all the experience that they gained over the years they are now handing it over to Indian chess in the form of training or interaction with young talents or their parents.

A big thank you to both Anand and Aruna and we wish them many more years of a happy married life!

On a parting note, we want to share with you words by Rajinikanth, the father of 18th World Champion Gukesh on the role played by Anand and Aruna in the career of his son:

"It was unforgettable the few days before our meet that Aruna maam kept enquiring about Gukesh's favourite food, drink, sweet. It was such a caring gesture from her end. For us it was a blessing to just meet them.

On the day when we went, she made sure all of Gukesh's favourite things were there and then made us so comfortable with all the interesting stories about Vishy sir. Seeing all the medals and trophies certainly gave goosebumps and big motivation to Gukesh. It was in some ways a reminder that becoming a GM is just the beginning, the actual journey starts now and a lot of hardwork and effort was needed to move ahead! This is really the biggest influence any youngster can practically get!

Of course there was a chess session where Vishy sir personally analyzed some interesting games of Gukesh. We are fortunate to have Vishy sir share his wisdom and chess knowledge whenever Gukesh seeks for help and equally thankful to Aruna maam. With her guidance whenever I have needed help with practically anything like visa, sponsorship, coaching, tournaments, contracts, etc. she has always been there. Who better than her who has handled the career of our legend.

Vishy sir and Aruna maam are God's gift to Indian chess. Becoming a GM for any youngster is a huge incentive as it gets you an invitation to their home!"
