Checking Garnacho for offside is fine. That's what VAR is for.

Checking if Barry is 'interfering' from an offside position is subjective. If the on-field officials haven't called it offside then VAR shouldn't because it's not black and white and the decision can differ based on different people's opinions.

If VAR are going to have this input then why even bother having officials?

Don't even get me started on asking the ref to then make the final call after a 4 minute review.
