It’s almost impossible for an ADHDer to have a job that doesn’t help others or solve problems that have real impact.
You can force it for money but it will slowly degrade your spirits.
And that’s why corporate politics is hell for you.
Women are literally finding self healing methods for PCOS on their own. They're trying to treat themselves. No healing methods are offered other than birth control pills. In an era where technology has advanced this much, they can't find a cure for PCOS.
I really hope that more people educate themselves on PCOS (now PMOS) with this change. Moving more, eating less, taking birth control is not the answer. We need real help, real answers, real research and REAL solutions.
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome honestly makes way more sense than Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
Because this condition was never just about “ovarian cysts” or fertility.
Women with PCOS are at higher risk for:
-type 2 diabetes
-heart disease
-fatty liver disease
-sleep apnea
-high blood pressure
Yet so many women are never properly counseled about these risks or referred for appropriate care early enough. As a cardiometabolic physician, I meet women in their 50s and 60s dealing with advanced disease who tell me:
“I wish someone had warned me earlier.”
We minimized PCOS by treating it like a niche reproductive issue instead of the systemic metabolic condition it often is.
wow… after years of being told to “just lose weight” and getting body shamed over symptoms tied to insulin resistance, it feels validating to finally see the condition named in a way that actually reflects how debilitating it can be.
hoping this leads to better research lol 😅
