@cgy_guy@albertanowparty Great, more division from conservative Albertans. 2 conservative parties might cause an NDP gov. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
@ReformedStoic Atlas Shrugged showed the difference between a good businessman/industrialist vs those that destroy. In today's world most of the elites are destroyers Ayn Rand tried to warn against & there are very few Ayn Rand industrialists (Elon still SEEMS to fit the description)
@Chuckwagonracer For those prone to depression light therapy helps
For the rest of us mentally balanced people that don't need medication to control our mental state, we don't want time changes
But yes, of course normal people should cater to the weakest common denominator & the mentally infirm
@sharif_gg I've heard many devs say, "sequel server", & when I said, "so you want to use structured query language to save & fetch data", they looked at me with a dumbfounded blank stare.
@Smileyyeg Pt1
"greater regulation is needed". Regulating business is what caused the current economic problems. Look back to when each new regulation was implemented & then scroll forward for the industry that regulation affected. Capitalism is not the free market, it is a governed market.
@Smileyyeg Pt5
If it's to expensive for the average Joe to start a business, they remain an employee making it more difficult to become wealthier. When that happens to a lot of average Joes, the middle class can't move up & eventually they become lower class.
@Smileyyeg Pt4
Look at every country that went socialist & you'll see that they started out as a governed economy. Because of regulation on business, on how businesses operate, it became a less competitive industry & harder & more costly for new businesses to open.
@Smileyyeg Pt3
In practice, a governed market will eventually lead to a command economy (a.k.a socialism), it will just take longer to reach that point than out right socialism. The more regulations imposed on the economy (business), the quicker it will happen.
@Smileyyeg Pt2
Look up the verb, to "govern".
Laissez-Faire economics is not Capitalism. The term Capitalism was coined by French Leftist in the late 1800's & by their definition is derogatory. See Adam Smith's, The Wealth of Nations, for further clarification
@AlbertaCanada60 Currently on a multi-family, rental property site, owned buy an indian developer that shouldn't pass framing inspection (but somehow did). When I say shouldn't pass, I mean it should fail every aspect of the inspection, not 1 thing should pass.
Elections Alberta noted in advance that the province had 3,148,343 eligible voters.
The problem is that the numbers below add up to 4,352,679 votes cast.
So not only were there 1,204,336 more votes cast than eligible voters, which is bad enough, but I guess we're also supposed to believe that 100% of the 3M+ eligible voters cast a ballot.
Can someone explain how blatant electoral fraud isn't involved?
