Khartoum Oncology Hospital, located in the Centre of Khartoum, was once the main cancer treatment hospital for the whole of Sudan. It employed close to a thousand staff and treated 80% of cancer in the country.

The hospital has been out of service since the war started, depriving thousands of cancer patients of treatment. After in-depth discussions with the hospital leadership, we have now began the process of rehabilitating this vital hospital.

The first phase of our rehabilitation project involved returning electricity to the hospital, which we achieved by installing a solar power system on the hospital’s roof.
