@hobnailbooties I was put in "government issued forbearance" right around Christmas. Just like COVID. I tried to start repayment a year ago and was told I had to wait till forbearance was over. My loan has increased 12k w/interest. I was directed not to make payments that do not qualify for PSLF
@hobnailbooties I went back for my Masters degree because of this program. I knew I couldn't afford it otherwise. Now what do I do. I'm a teacher. I can't survive a $1600 a month payment
@JustinHeilman I had 3 payments left. July they paused everything and won't let me pay. It went from 340 a month to 1600. The 1600 is not eligible for loan forgiveness because they "froze" that payment option.
They are teaching me more than I could ever teach them. They are resilient and driven. These children are our future. And I'm proud to be their teacher. A well deserved reward for hardwork, empathy, and kindness @MenloPark19@MargaretTruppa#5thgrade
Today I safely delivered a few surprises to some well deserving students who have been doing any amazing job during distant learning. @MenloPark19
We are all so proud of your hard work. @MargaretTruppa@jacwoerner
Tonight, let's have tributesย of appreciation for school teachers. Because you're amazing, vital engines of optimismย that our nation can and will become a better place. Thank you to all who answer the call to service. May the country that emerges appreciate you more.
Miss these kids. Afternoon meeting to catch up. Still Loving pajamas, missing our friends, highly recommend Onward, learning new games with our families, someone's brother at all the guac, and we love #libertykids#5thgrade@MenloPark19
They were very excited we could do our morning meeting with #googlemeet Concensus: they love wearing pjs, working from their couch, and sleeping in. But, they really miss their teachers and friends. I have to agree I miss my students and friends too @MargaretTruppa@MenloPark19
