Public servant from the Ministry of Education voices their frustration and discusses their busy work putting together documents to support "any asinine idea coming from the Premier's office"
@Sflecce@RobinMartinPC@KidsHelpPhone Do NOT take credit for the countless hours that educators have put into making remote learning possible! You did absolutely nothing to help us. Iโd like for you to sit in a class with 225min of synch learning everyday and update me on your mental health at the end of the week!
@ONT_Dad I have registered however I was told if I donโt receive and bring the letter from @tdsb stating that I am eligible from teaching in a โhot spotโ, I will not be getting the be vaccine at my appointment next week...
@tdsb please send out the letters teachers working in โhot spotsโ need to show that they are eligible for their vaccines. People are waiting over an hour on the phone to only be told they will be turned away without this letter. #COVIDVaccination#onted
@julesbn5@etfopresident@ONT_Dad On Apr 7 @TOPublicHealth told my P about we had an asymptomatic student that tested + on Mar 21. No classes were sent home to isolate because we simply did not know... by the time we did find out, the 2 week quarantine period was already done. Therefore nothing will/can be done๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
@Sflecce@CP24 Did YOU read the full article? It states at the very end, โThere have been 14,478 school-related cases of COVID-19 reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
About 26 per cent of schools currently have at least one active case.โ Thoughts?
"Education workers who live and work in a Toronto or Peel postal code that has a high rate of infection will be eligible during the April break. Staff who work directly with special education students can also book shots during that period." #onted

@Sflecce Repeating yourself 3 times doesnโt make it true. If schools were safe, please explain how one student was positive but everyone he lived with was negative? Did this 5 yr old child contract COVID from his part time job after school? Or from grocery shopping for his family? HOW?!
@Sflecce 98.7% of schools remain open BECAUSE we CANโT shut down.. We started March with 170 students in school and it has gone down to an avg of 40 this week. Our P asked if we could shut down since COVID is clearly in the community; our request was declined. Your numbers mean NOTHING.
@CheriDiNovo@CP24@globalnews@CBCAlerts@ColinDMello@CityNews My K-5 school has a grand total of 47 students currently learning in person.. the other 3/4 of the students are at home with asynchronous work given by teachers that still have a classroom, or have remote classes with their teacher isolating with them.
