Immediately upon arriving in DC in 2016, the not-yet-freshman congressmen sought publicity by claiming a DC taxi driver (of all things) was Islamophobic. She filed complaints with the DC taxi commission and Human Rights division. The report lists the witness: Her sister.

The name is redacted in the FOIAd version, but there is evidence that the sister was Leila Nur Said Elmi–not the sister she's acknowledged, Sahra Noor.

This may be what happened: A family named Omar got admitted to the US as refugees. Mohammed Elmi was a wealthy and powerful Somali military official, and he stole the Omars' identity and spots. The Omar family was smaller, so he could only bring himself, Ilhan, and Sahra.

The other Elmis, Leila and Ahmed, went to England, where older sister Leila raised Ahmed. Ahmed Elmi then wanted to come to the US, so he married his sister Ilhan.

AOC should be asked to produce the evidence supporting her accusations.

Ruffalo has the history backward. The New Deal borrowed fascist economics rather than fighting them. The 1933 the National Recovery Administration put American industry under government codes fixing prices, wages, and output, the corporatist structure of Mussolini's system, and Mussolini praised FDR's program as kindred to his own. The Nazi party's paper commended Roosevelt's economic measures in the same years.

The Supreme Court struck it down 9 to 0 in 1935.

Fascism and socialism are both variants of collectivism, so one cannot cure the other. And the scapegoating he condemns runs through his antidote too. FDR named his scapegoats economic royalists and ran against them as a class. The antidote to fascism is individual rights and a government limited to protecting them.

I suggest Ruffalo book a one-way ticket to Brazil. The country just voted for everything he wants. Why does he stay in a country that represents everything he despises?
