Preparing for government jobs is tough, not because the syllabus is hard, but because the number of seats is limited. For most of you aged 18-24, you'll enter this journey with a lot of enthusiasm. Some of you might clear it early, but others might take more time, and some may never clear it at all.

This message is for those who are still struggling.

Remember how talented you were during your college years? You had grand dreams and visualized a different life for yourself. You were eager to try something new, to travel, and to take risks. But as the years passed, you might have noticed your enthusiasm waning. Due to repeated failures, you've started setting your sights lower. Now, you're plagued with insecurities and doubts about yourself. Studying isn't just a task anymore; it's a battle against your own will. You might think, "Even if I do clear it, so what?" Your passion is fading, and it's hard to explain to your parents why. They might think you're not serious about your preparation, but that's not the case. You're juggling insecurities, fear, loneliness, and your studies. Once you cross a certain age, the thought of giving up becomes more tempting, especially when you see your peers moving ahead in life.

But this is a trap. Don't let age deter you.

Seize every opportunity that comes your way and maintain a social life. If, at some point, you feel like giving up on UPSC, it's okay. Find something better and pivot. Don't keep fighting a losing battle. Always dream big, regardless of how mediocre your current situation might seem. Your family and friends might be supportive, but they could also have the mindset of "It's okay if it didn't happen." They might see it as a loss, but don't let that perception settle in your mind. It might take a bit longer, but you'll find another way to rise. Escape the matrix, folks! This matrix makes you believe that UPSC was the most crucial thing in your life. But as I move forward, I realize that if you aren't happy about what you are doing you anyways won't clear it. Never simply accept what society wants you to believe. You're still a hero, and you can still fight. Just don't fight a losing battle.
