The best part?
Players apparently didn't find the bastard.
Months went by after Arkham Asylum released before Rocksteady eventually revealed the room themselves.
Imagine secretly teasing your next game, waiting for the internet to lose its shit when somebody discovers it...
...and nobody fucking does.
Gaming secrets used to be different.
Batman: Arkham Asylum had a secret room so well hidden that players didn't actually find it.
Rocksteady eventually had to tell people it existed.
Which is fucking ridiculous when you realise what was inside it.
And Rocksteady hadn't just hidden some ammo or a Batman trophy in there.
The room contained maps, blueprints and plans for Arkham City.
They'd basically hidden a teaser for their next game inside Arkham Asylum before Arkham City had even been announced.
@fooliandotcom@InfamousChrisOG@tomwarren@ballmatthew What is there to not trust? All he has essentially said is they're happy with GTA pre-orders and that it has broke records.
I don't know what there is to not trust about that? It's GTA, it's going to break records.
@thom_ro23939@shinobi602 Oh, I understand that, but from my experience with redundancies, there are usually some people caught in the crossfire.
I do agree that they are necessary in certain situations and this appears to be one of them
@fooliandotcom@tomwarren@ballmatthew Is there any need for insults?
I think it's just polite to acknowledge that somebody took the time to read his article and respond with some information.
But you do you and just insult people who make a non-offensive comment.
@tomwarren@ballmatthew You're the journalist. You should know this.
You had a very polite response to your article with an insider just letting you know what the internal feeling is.
How about just saying thanks, appreciate the response and time taken to read my article?
@Kashyap97321975@RinoTheBouncer Games were quicker to make, so we'd have sequels to games and everything. Now they take longer, that's a thing of the past.
@JezCorden For me, a lot of this re-jig just makes sense.
It will be quite interesting to see what Activision can do with Halo.
The job losses are something nobody wants to ever see, but I believe Microsoft over-stretched and this correction was necessary.
@GameSpot This was always going to happen, unfortunately for the people losing their jobs. They over-stretched and didn't have a defined plan in place.
I do think the re-jig of studios is a very good thing for them, with a lot of it just making sense.
