I welcomed Hon. Beccy Cooper MP, Chair of the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health.
We discussed strengthening Uganda-UK collaboration in healthcare, particularly in medical training, skills transfer, and improving health service delivery. I also briefed her on Uganda’s successful defeat of the recent Ebola outbreak, which demonstrated the dedication of our health workers and the effectiveness of our response systems.

The Minister for State for Health in Charge of Primary Health Care, Dr. @DrAyumeCharles, has this morning officiated at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Uganda–UK Health Partnerships Summit. The summit brings together health leaders, policymakers, researchers and partners from Uganda and the United Kingdom to strengthen collaboration, promote innovation and advance resilient health systems for improved health outcomes.
In his address, Dr. @DrAyumeCharles, noted that the Uganda–UK Health Partnerships Summit reflects our shared commitment to building stronger, more resilient health systems through collaboration, innovation and mutual learning.
He added that Uganda remains committed to working with the United Kingdom to advance universal health coverage and global health security.
