🚨PEP GUARDIOLA ON CHELSEA:

🗣️“People will laugh when I say this, but I don’t care. Chelsea are the best club in the world in the 21st century.

Their mentality, their history, the way they build teams… even when they struggle, they always find a way back.

If you ask me which club I would never want to face at their best, it’s Chelsea.

I have enormous respect for them. The Premier League needs Chelsea at the top.”

🥇 GOLD FOR NIGERIA IN PERU

Mariam Eniola Bolaji has won the Women’s Singles SL3 title at the 2026 Peru Para Badminton International after a dominant campaign in Lima.

The Paralympic bronze medallist defeated Brazil’s Kauana Beckenkamp 21-12, 21-12 in the final to complete the tournament without dropping a single game.

Bolaji won all four of her matches in straight sets, conceding just 47 points across the competition.

The victory adds another international title to an impressive 2026 season that has also seen the Nigerian claim gold in Egypt, silver at the World Championships in Bahrain and silver at the British & Irish Para-Badminton International.

Bolaji, who made history at Paris 2024 as the first African athlete to win an Olympic or Paralympic badminton medal, continues to strengthen Nigeria’s presence at the highest level of para-badminton.

The National Sports Commission congratulates Eniola Bolaji, the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, her coaches and support team on another outstanding performance for Nigeria.

Congratulations, Eniola.
