@B____D___ VA clubs have Lift Club classes. Mostly attended by women. That’s where I lift. There’s a different program every day. Squats, lunges, shoulder press, bench press, deadlift and full body. Before this I was lifting at CrossFit.
Less than 100 households attended the ward meeting. This upsets me. Because you guys don’t participate mara you are quick to complain about crime/service delivery. Mxm.
On a Teams call with the community and the City of Tshwane parks and horticulture. I really enjoy these meetings tša community building. We are discussing a community park and how to save it for our best interest.
It was closed a year ago because of bylaws being contravened (squatters). Community complained. Social services and TMPD removed them and locked it up. Now we need to rehabilitate and revive it for community use.
@Lizwi_G 1992-2003. She reconciled with her husband and moved from PLK to PTA. My neighbour has a similar arrangement now in PTA East (nanny with 2 girls).
When we had a stay-in nanny her child also lived with us. And some December school holidays when my parents had to go mark matric scripts, we’d go stay with her at her home until they returned 🤷🏾♀️
@__Shezi I think that’s maybe a good place to start. Being active in your community. That’s how I know how to e.g report streetlights in the neighbourhood. It then goes beyond my smaller community and I’ll e.g call SANRAL to report dangerous objects on the highway when I spot them.
@__Shezi I’m in a community with active citizens and great cllrs. They communicate thoroughly about everything. We have monthly neighbourhood cleanups, quarterly meetings on a weekday evening at a random church to discuss issues beyond the cllr, etc.
