@nearcyan ... on comfort. Even so if I wake up after maybe 6 hours, half the time I can't get back to sleep, but this happens more if I have a late night and more in the summer. In the winter I have electric blankets on dawn + offset timers to help with this.
@nearcyan I lower the brightness on my TV each evening if I watch it. My phone turns to eye comfort at 9pm. I go to bed early and have an hour or two of not moving much but not trying to sleep, then I try to sleep. Usually around midnight. If I wake up I try to empty my mind and focus...
@cowtung Convinced I don't get exercise endorphins all I get is a feeling telling me to stop. I have a set number of reps I do on a set number of machines at the gym and I just blast through them as quickly as I can go get it over and done with. The only reward I get is in the results.
@David__Osland I have a job and I receive UC for help with housing. I'm a council tenant and I wouldn't be able to afford to eat if I was renting privately. I work 15 hours WFH and am changing to delivery driving soon.
@David__Osland Yes but also it's gonna force a transition to UBI which is unavoidable at this stage. Yes it's too low, yes the taper rate gets people stuck, yes the job centre is a hindrance more than a help, yes it's unfair to those with long-term illnesses, but it will lead to UBI eventually.
