Let’s emulate Thierry Henry’s energy and spread appreciation across…
Tag someone in the comments and tell them how they’ve impacted you and how whatever they did meant something to you.
Doesn’t have to be a popular person on here, could be a friend in real life
1. Track every single kobo you spend. Buy a cheap notebook and pen if you must. Write down literally everything. No exceptions. You cannot fix what you refuse to measure.
2. If you earn ₦100,000 monthly, force yourself to save at least ₦30,000. 30% minimum. Do this religiously for a minimum of five years.
3. Stop eating like you’ve already made it. Drop the constant turkey, shawarma, and takeaway. Some days garri and groundnut is exactly what you need to stay alive and keep stacking.
4. Gambling and betting are not “side hustles". They are wealth destroyers dressed in hope. Cut them off completely.
5. Never stop learning. If a skill pays you ₦1,000 today, double down on it immediately. Master it, raise your rate, then add the next skill. Momentum is everything.
6. Digital skills are great, but learn one or two real-world manual skills too. Basic plumbing, generator repair, house wiring, simple car diagnostics. Anything that saves you money or earns you quick cash when the internet dies.
7. Never spend money to impress or keep a woman. She may love money, but money alone will never keep her.
8. Stop trying to carry your entire bloodline out of poverty at once. You are not the family ATM. Help only when it’s truly critical and when the person is actually trying to help themselves. Anything else is just guilt-fueled poverty redistribution.
9. Clubbing is a poverty trap with loud music and pretty lights. One night of bottles, girls, and flexing can burn what took you two years to save. Stay away.
10. Never invest blind. Ask serious questions. Talk only to people who are already winning at the game you want to play. If they can’t show receipts and explain the downside clearly, walk away.
11. Stop buying phones, clothes, shoes, and gadgets to feel important. Flash doesn’t pay bills. It creates them. Look broke on the outside while quietly building wealth on the inside. Let your bank account do the bragging later.
12. Your circle determines your ceiling. If everyone around you is comfortable being broke, average, and complaining, you will eventually become them. Upgrade your environment ruthlessly. Even if it means walking alone for a season.
Apply these. No excuses. Results don’t care about your intentions.
Above all, love God.

10. Never let negative and toxic people rent space in your head. Raise the rent & kick them out.
11. Life goes on, even if you don’t want it to.
12. Drinking garri doesn’t mean you’re poor but allowing it to swell before drinking is poverty.

SIMPLE RULES YOU SHOULD NOTE ✍
- Do not eat in front of people around you if you're not willing to share
- No matter how comfortable you are at someone's home, never go into their parent's room.
- Never overstay no matter how close you are with them
- Sharing God's word is not embarrassing.

How to become a Licensed Coach at top level 2
Did you know that without a Pro License, you can only serve as a caretaker manager for up to 12 weeks in a top-tier league, which is why clubs like Monaco are willing to pay a fine of €25,000 per match for their coach rather than wait for their coach to finish his qualification. Cos the alternative is hiring someone else entirely.
So two days ago, we learnt about the steps one has to take to become a Licensed coach at the top level. However, one thing I didn’t mention yesterday that I believe you noticed was that the courses weren’t FIFA courses. They were UEFA courses- which ideally means that they are only valid in Europe. But that is not how it works. You will get how it works as you read on. I will explain.
But here is what you should know:
Compared to other confederations, UEFA's system stands out for its standardization, mutual recognition among members, and emphasis on super standard practices, giving it superior global prestige for elite European opportunities. All confederations follow FIFA's D, C, B, A, and Pro framework, but differences exist in reciprocity and resources. By reciprocity, I mean your ability to use a License you got in one Confederation, in another Confederation. For the intent and purpose of this text, a Confederation is the Football Governing body of a continent. So UEFA is for Europe, CAF is for Africa, AFC is for Asia and so on.
Do you get it now?
So we will be discussing Coaching license reciprocity between these confederations so you can see if your continent’s license permits you to coach in Europe. Are we clear?
CAF in Africa mirrors the same structure as UEFA, with the CAF Pro License required for managing in competitions like AFCON or the Champions League, but it lacks mutual recognition with UEFA. Of course, partial credit is possible on a case-by-case basis, though CAF focuses more on regional contexts and is offered at lower costs. If you have a CAF Pro License and want to coach in Europe, you will likely have to do at least part of the UEFA pathway again.
AFC in Asia has a Professional Diploma akin to the UEFA Pro and benefits from a 2025 to 2029 mutual recognition agreement with UEFA, making cross-mobility easier for coaches moving between Asia and Europe. This is a big deal for Asian coaches who want to work in Europe or vice versa.
CONMEBOL in South America aligns closely with UEFA through operational and technical agreements from 2022 that enable recognition of Pro and A Licenses, supporting hires like South American coaches working in Europe. This is why you see South American coaches in European leagues more frequently than you’d see African coaches or Asian coaches for example.
CONCACAF in North and Central America and the Caribbean is evolving and launched its Pro License in 2026 via UEFA collaboration for unified standards, though full equivalence remains in development. It is getting better but not quite there yet. So a coaching License you get in North America does not exactly permit you to coach in Europe.
OFC in Oceania offers basic alignment but limited depth and transferability. If you are coaching in Oceania and want to move to Europe, you essentially have to start over.
The UEFA Pro License holds the highest market value and mobility in top leagues due to Europe's resources. Many coaches from other continents go to their confederation for experience and then pursue UEFA for elite ambitions, to build versatile careers in global football. The system is rigorous, expensive, and time-consuming, but it is also the gold standard for anyone serious about coaching at the highest level. If you want to coach at the top, Europe is the path I recommend you take.

How to become a Licensed coach at the highest level.
AS Monaco are paying €25,000 for every single match that Sébastien Pocognoli coaches. Not as his salary but as a fine. They have already racked up €425,000 in fines since October 2025, and if Pocognoli stays until the end of the season, that number will hit €750,000.
Why? Pocognoli does not have aProfessional Football Coach Certificate (BEPF) or its foreign equivalent, which French regulations require for anyone managing a Ligue 1 club. He is still studying for it and is expected to complete it by summer 2026. But Monaco decided they could not wait, so they are paying the price. Literally. Pun absolutely intended.
Pocognoli's story shows just how seriously European football takes coaching qualifications. And it raises an important question for aspiring coaches everywhere, including those from other parts of the world.
What does it actually take to become a top-level football coach at the UEFA standard? What are the costs, the timelines, and the barriers? And how does the UEFA system compare to other confederations around the world?
As usual...keep reading. I will tell you.
Are you with me?
Becoming a UEFA-certified coach means going through a highly structured pathway that ends with the UEFA Pro License, the highest qualification in European football and the world even. This License is mandatory for people that want to manage teams in elite leagues like the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, or Serie A, as well as in UEFA competitions such as the Champions League.
This learning system is open to international coaches from everywhere in the world, though depending on whee you come from, you will face challenges like visas, relocation for in-person modules, and building relevant experience in Europe.
Are you still with me?
So here is what it will take
The cost of UEFA licenses varies widely depending on where you take them. Some countries' national associations deliver the courses, so the required fees reflect local economics, facilities, and demand.
Rich federations like England's FA or Germany's DFB charge higher amounts cos they have premium instructors, club visits, and resources.
However, more affordable options exist in countries like Lithuania, Latvia, or Spain. You should stil know anyway that International or non-EU applicants like you will frequently pay a premium of 20 to 50 percent extra for administration and support.
Here is what you would need at each level in terms of time, cost, and experience:
UEFA C License — You would need 60 to 120 hours of classes over 6 to 12 weeks for this. It costs €2,000 to €5,000 (higher in wealthier countries, lower in places like Lithuania or Latvia). It is the entry level and covers grassroots basics. It permits coaches to work with children and in grassroots football.
You do not need prior coaching experience to start the C License, thus, it is the first step for anyone entering the UEFA coaching pathway. You would learn the fundamentals. How to organize training sessions. How to communicate with young players. How to structure a season and so on. It is literally for the basics of coaching.
Next is the UEFA B License. You would need 120 to 180 hours over 3 to 6 months for this one. It costs between €3,000 and €8,000. This level focuses on amateur coaching. But before you can even start the B License, you would need 6 to 12 months of post-C coaching practical experience.
You cannot just jump from one level to the next. You have to prove you can actually coach at the level you have been trained for. You would recall that Ruben Amorim had an internship stint at United when Mourinho was coach. It is because of requirements like this. I am not saying they are exactly the same though. They are just identical situations. That's why you see a lot of players also perform player-coach roles to fulfill this requirement so they can become coaches right after they retire.
After that is the UEFA A License. You would need 180 to 240 hours of classes over 6 to 12 months to do this one. It costs between €5,000 to €12,000. This is for professional-level coaching. But again, you cannot start this until you have 1 to 2 years of experience following the B License. At this stage, you would be expected to be coaching at the "semi-professional" or academy level.
The A License opens professional environments and prepares you for working alongside professional players in recognized leagues. At this point, you would be expected to understand not just tactics but psychology, nutrition, recovery, data analysis. Everything.
Last is then the UEFA Pro License. This one requires 360+ hours over 12 to 18 months and about €10,000 to €20,000 to complete. This is the highest qualification. For example, Lithuania charges €10,000 for citizens and €20,000 for international applicants, while England charges around €13,700 for citizens.
But at this point, the real barrier is not the money. It is the experience requirement. You would need 2 to 3 years of high-performance coaching post-A License, such as managing reserves or coaching in a second-tier league. It includes modules, club visits to top European clubs across Europe, and assessments where you would present tactical analyses and coaching philosophies to panels of experienced coaches and former players.
This is where many aspiring coaches get stuck, cos breaking into professional football to gain that experience is not easy if you are coming from outside Europe. You would need strong network, opportunities and results.
When you add up the cumulative costs from the C License all the way to the Pro License, you would be looking at €10,000 to €40,000 or more. And that is excluding travel, accommodation, and living expenses during the courses, which can add thousands more depending on where you are coming from.
The total time you would need to reach the UEFA Pro License spans 5 to 10 years or more, combining formal education with mandatory practical experience to ensure real-world application. So you see it is not a quick process. It is a commitment.
You should however know that the curriculum scheduling allows some flexibility alongside full-time jobs, and prior qualifications like CAF equivalents may accelerate your entry through case-by-case recognition, though this is not automatic and depends on the national association you apply through.
This is getting long and boring already. We will discuss the rest next time.
