Jean Gragg, 40, reportedly stepped in front of her son after an arranged Facebook Marketplace watch sale allegedly turned into an armed robbery. Authorities say the suspect, 18-year-old John Ford, pulled out a gun, and Jean put herself in danger to shield her son.

Investigators allege she chased the suspect away, but he turned back and fired multiple shots, fatally wounding her. She later died from her injuries, and Ford has been charged with murder.
