I have a baseball signed by the 1948 World Series Champion Cleveland Indians. It has signatures from HOFers Lou Boudreau, Bob Feller, Larry Doby, Bob Lemon, and Joe Gordon along with 23 other players on that team. I got it as a gift from my grandfather.
@PhenoMVP He’s been really aggressive on the 1st pitch lately.
He’s swung at, and put in play, the opening pitch of the game in each of the last 4 games.
@Prospect_Tilt Why are those BB% and K% so high across the board? The lowest K% being 27.2% feels way too high, no?
Cleveland’s listed at a 30.6% K% but only 1/4 of their minor league hitters have a K% that high.
@TrainiaxCLE Do you know what number Bazzana is gonna wear? I don’t remember what he wore in ST but do you think 37 would now be available since Stephan isn’t even on the 40 anymore?
In 125 seasons of Cleveland baseball, one man stands alone atop the leaderboard of games played. 🐐
With five innings completed, José Ramírez is the only active player to currently lead a franchise in games played.

@GuardsJoey I was at the game, he did NOT swing at that pitch.
He actually check swung at pitch 2 but the scorer must’ve missed it. Jrod then didn’t swing at pitch 5 but since they wrongly had it as ball 4, and didn’t know which pitch was the real strike, they just said he swung at pitch 5.
@Nyanasaur@FayIsNotGay Strider was taken in the 4th.
But Covid really messed this one up because there’s a lot of good players who weren’t taken because the draft was too short, or there wasn’t any scouting done on them that year.
@PhenoMVP Feels weird to see him with a 1-handed follow through now. Figured it was just gonna be the first swing but he it did it on every one. Curious what the reasoning was.
Cleveland Guardians star José Ramírez’s extension is now signed and done, pending physical, sources tell ESPN. Includes $106M in new money — $70M of which is deferred for 10 years — and turns the three years and $69M he had into seven years and $175M. @hgomez27 was on the news.
