In my experience, older folks at church don't resent contemporary music, they just long to remember those times in which the Spirit filled them—in moments of despair and peace, pain and joy, death and hope—as they sang the hymns of their youth.
I just met a pastor of a Spanish speaking congregation and just saw his Bible that is in Spanish and my heart is so full 🥹😭😭😭😭

We live in a dangerous time where people want to talk to the church and advise the church but are under no leadership and a not part of a local church. From “influencers” to “public figures” to “apologists”. We need better standards of accountability in a world where followers and a savvy social media presence can give you a voice. They will call me crazy. Stop using unhealthy churches and leaders to justify the mess! #protesttherogues
I love it that the Kenyan way of being long winded is the same natural way of the African-American. Although my ancestors were taken from the motherland, that wasn’t taken from us. #Amen
