As the Turkish government’s repression of political opponents, protesters, human rights lawyers, and journalists deepens, it is imperative that the U.S. government call on Türkiye to uphold its obligations under international human rights law.

🚨 Arbitrary detention is not justice.

For nearly six years, Oqba Hashad has remained behind bars in Egypt, reportedly subjected to serious human rights violations, including torture, enforced disappearance, and denial of adequate healthcare. No one should be punished for the activism of a family member.
