Here is my BAFTA speech in full, with the important bit that hasn't been shown.
Also, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us, and to our colleagues who rallied around us. And thank you to @BAFTA and the judges for a great evening and a great honour.
The Prime Minister says his government has got "the big political decisions right". Let's go through them.
The government chose to cut welfare so it could spend even more on weapons and war.
The government chose to demonise the sick and disabled.
The government chose to keep children in poverty until it was dragged kicking and screaming to finally scrap the two-child benefit cap.
The government chose not to bring water into public ownership, not to tax wealth and not to implement rent controls.
The government chose to arm Israel and participate in genocide.
The government chose to let the US use British air bases for its war crimes in Iran.
The government chose to let Palantir get its hands on our NHS.
The government chose to scapegoat migrants and refugees for its own failures.
Poverty, inequality and genocide. Those are the government's big decisions. And that is how this government will be remembered.
“We just want to see our father more than anything.”
🚨HEARTBREAKING: A Palestinian child from Gaza breaks down in tears while speaking of his longing to see his father, who is detained in Israeli detention camps, and the pain of losing his mother and brother, who were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
Imagine these were two blindfolded Israeli women.
Imagine Hamas militants had taken this picture.
Imagine those women had then disappeared.
Imagine the deafening outrage and denunciations of Hamas’ evil.
So where is the deafening outrage here?
Here's the DIRTY SECRET of the British Establishment
They are OK with the idea of a racist, authoritarian Farage govt
They are TERRIFIED at the idea of a Polanski govt which would threaten their power & privilege and make them pay their fair share of tax
On Tuesday morning, armed Israeli settlers stormed a Palestinian school in the village of Silat al-Daher, near Jenin, chasing children with their vehicle, shouting at them, and intimidating teachers into shutting down the school.
