A 20-YEAR-OLD MIT STUDENT JUST PUT HIS AI ROBOT TO WORK FOR AN AUSTRALIAN TOUR COMPANY - THEN IT ENCOUNTERED A KANGAROO ATTACKING A DOG.
The student reportedly built the robot with help from Anthropic and decided to take it out into the real world instead of keeping it inside a controlled lab.
During a tour, the robot suddenly spotted a kangaroo grabbing a dog and moved toward the situation. No script. No controlled environment. Just a completely unpredictable real-world interaction.
The robot had to understand what was happening, react to the animals and physically move through the chaos in real time.
This is what Physical AI looks like when the demo ends and the real world begins.
The crazy part? A 20-year-old is already putting an AI humanoid to work in a real tourism business.
AI isn't just learning how to think anymore. It's learning how to operate in the physical world.
Incase anyone was wondering why a kangaroo is on X, well one day at the Zoo, a lady was going to meet her friends and so out of excitment she ran towards the friend and her phone fell off, from there I picked it up, took a quite a few selfies and boom saw an app named X.
Yup! ππΎ
