💔🇳🇬 As the 2026 World Cup draws near, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has issued a heartfelt apology to Nigerians.
“Sorry we didn’t go to the World Cup. Sorry we didn’t win the AFCON. I will give everything for this national team. Thank you to this country.” 🦅🤍
If you remove UK people’s remittances from Nigeria’s economy, una go sabi wetin really be god’s punishment.
Yes, the same UK diaspora that you people always bash and call stingy, remove their remittances from the GDP, you go see the kain trouble wey we dey.
Other people do not deserve safety?
Or what am I reading?
Whole villages are being deserted but we must gauge the feeling of the people before deciding which place to stop insecurity place or not, did I read correctly?
Again based on reactions, we all can see that people care about security different. At least with SW we can say for certain a vast majority want it to genuinely end and won't mind anything that can help with that.
Let them contain the spread first and halt SW invasion. If others also like that and care, maybe they'll also make such demands.
that too, if places where things are 100x worse are not getting state of emergency declared which would come with a military administrator, my state does not need that kind of SoE too and if at all everyone is getting SoE, then at the end we must have clear results.
I am saying the entire affected places that are getting regularly attacked should be the ones to first get any SoEs, not a state where DHQ confirmed suffered spillovers from actual hotbeds
There’s a FG controlled forest at CRIN used as kidnappers den, FG should do something about
It's the entire SW, so Ekiti should be involved. I'm sure Kwara and Kogi shouldn't be sad about it. So also Plateau.
I'm saying this and starting with SW bcos I believe they take their security seriously and want it to end regardless what it takes. Can't say that about the North
DHQ said the terrorist attack in Ọyọ State was a spill over from some states but it is the state suffering the spill over we should have SoE for security not in states where they have established bases and carry out attacks regularly.
“Don’t play politics with insecurity”
The case in Ogbomoso is the only case where we have gotten a head-on, we have communication established, we have fresh attacks on Immigration office, nothing else escalated. Yeah, SoE to secure us
Kwara, Kogi, Plateau, Benue are there, where’s the action to “secure” them?
I’ll ask same for Plateau, Ekiti, Kogi, Kwara, more than half of the North and yes after 6 months no place should have any insecurity case again.
Is that also for politics? Let us secure our people
Just declare state of emergency in all the affected states too.
I’ll just take this as alcohol induced talk from the low tier guy, not something I should work myself up over
Like you don't care about the insecurity after all... people will agree with it so far it's for insecurity.
Also very funny to watch, because you all cried about declaring SoE over Oil and not insecurity. Na who go fall for oje I pity.
He'll declare it and nothing will happen
A major highlight of today's plenary was the deliberation on the disturbing wave of bandit attacks in Oriire Local Government Area, particularly the tragic incident in Esiele, Oyo and Yawota communities, which claimed innocent lives and resulted in the abduction of teachers, school children and other residents.
The House unanimously condemned the attacks, including the recent abduction of the sister of a former Minister of Power and her twin sons, describing the incidents as unacceptable and a threat to the peace and security of our communities.
We called for intensified rescue efforts to secure the safe and unconditional release of all abductees and renewed our advocacy for the establishment of State Police as a sustainable and proactive response to the evolving security challenges confronting our nation.
We also commended our security agencies for their commitment, courage and ongoing sacrifices in safeguarding lives and property, while encouraging them to sustain and strengthen ongoing rescue and intelligence-gathering operations.
The House further received and considered important correspondences from His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
In addition, we conducted the First Reading of the Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Oyo State Medical Residency Training Bill, 2026.
The proposed residency training legislation seeks to strengthen medical residency programmes and provide institutional support for resident doctors, whose services remain critical to addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals in our state and country.
May peace and security return to every affected community, and may our collective efforts continue to move Oyo State toward greater progress, prosperity and shared development.
