@xMBGx I'm hoping it's the first option but it's likely the latter. I'm prepared for the latter. They've sold their soul to the investors and they don't care about the consumers.
@playb0y4L Likely won't get trailer 3 until closer to the earnings call. Same as the last 2 times. Such an underwhelming lead up to the launch of the "most anticipated piece of entertainment media of all time." Not just because of trailer 3 but it also being digital only. So much hype lost.
@crotfs And delete everyone's digital libraries. Or at least the 58k people that liked their tweet about killing physical media. I don't mind if they delete mine too. If I'm going to buy digital, I'll at least do it on a more open platform (PC) where I have options. And no DRM.
@GamingCentral26 I'll be more likely to get a ps6 if they preserve physical media for at least one more generation. Xbox is almost certainly not going to come with a disk drive, so Nintendo would be the only one with physical media and I'm not a Nintendo guy. But probably just play on PC next gen
@yaboiuncledave I moved countries and according to sony, I'm not allowed to do that. Now I can no longee purchase games on my account, and if I don't login to it for 3 years because I made a new account in the new country, they can delete my account and my library. They can do whatever they want
@iGrandTheftAuto@PlayStation They only showed a digital render. She even did the motion showing how the hotswapping works with her hands in the air and not on the controller. This is digital only, for sure.
@TheTom2O@DomTheBomb Only problem there is that their ps library won't transfer over so they have the ps5 for their ps5/4 games and pc for upcoming games past '28. Currently, you can build a pc that's better than a steam machine for about the same price. Although, you might compromise on form factor.
@TheTom2O@DomTheBomb That's true. I think a lot of people will just stick with the ps5 instead of investing in a ps6 or pc. But if the ps6 is going to cost $1000 anyway, and they're willing to stick with the ps5 for a couple more years, they might as well save up for a PC and run steam OS on it.
@_jaziu@Urban_GTA_6 You could turn off your in game minimap and use the app as your minimap that updated in real time. Best feature ever. Shame they got rid of it when RDO came out.
@GamingCentral26 Only buying it if they change course but I doubt it. Either way, I think my main platform will be PC. But if they don't even have physical media there's no point in even getting a console. Even their exclusives have been meh this generation and I don't think that'll change on ps6
@kiwitalkz I think they mean marketing the game as digital only and locking a large amount of content behind the ultimate edition. I have no problem with the ultimate edition but digital only is a huge bummer. Them announcing a physical edition and going quiet on what comes in the box too.
@Jinxtheworld1@RinoTheBouncer I was gonna say subscriptions but you're right. I'd rather pay money every month to play good games than have nothing to play because everything is trash. Both in writing and gameplay. Where did all the talented devs from 10-15 years ago go?
@Bill_unplugged@LegacyKillaHD Raising price on hardware due to RAM/storage shortage is one thing but also for PS+? They've removed features that were on the PS4 and even ones that originally came with the ps5. Deleting movies that people bought and now with the disk removal, they've lost a lot of fans. 2/2
@Bill_unplugged@LegacyKillaHD Even Sony glazers couldn't get behind some of the things they've done this generation. Definitely not 99.99%. It's good hardware, yes. But apart from that, they've had nothing nearly as interesting this gen as the last one. And they keep losing fans each passing month. 1/x
@RinoTheBouncer When the digital push happened, it was supposed to be cheaper than physical. Remedy understood that. Digital games are supposed to <$60 or $70 and physical ones at full price. But no one complained, so companies got greedy. But yes, I'd still buy physical even if it costs more.
