मोदी सरकार कहती है - पेट्रोल में 20% एथेनॉल है। कर्नाटक सरकार ने 7 ज़िलों से पेट्रोल के सैंपल लेकर मान्यता प्राप्त लैब में जाँच करवाई।

नतीजा देखिए
- 14 में से 11 सैंपल में 20% से ज़्यादा एथेनॉल
- IOCL में 31.2%, HPCL में 30.5%
- IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, Nayara, Shell - सरकारी हों या प्राइवेट - सब सीमा से ऊपर
- और कंपनियों की अपनी लैब ने एथेनॉल की मात्रा रिपोर्ट में लिखी ही नहीं

मतलब आप पैसा महंगे पेट्रोल का दे रहे हैं, टंकी में एथेनॉल भरा जा रहा है। नुकसान किसका? आपका।

आपकी गाड़ी इतना एथेनॉल पचाने के लिए बनी ही नहीं - मतलब, घटता माइलेज, बार-बार मैकेनिक। शौक से ली गई गाड़ी की बर्बादी।

और पंप पर लिखा तक नहीं कि टंकी में क्या डाला जा रहा है - चुनने का कोई विकल्प नहीं।

मोदी जी, बताइए - देश की टंकी में क्या भरा जा रहा है? पेट्रोल में असल में कितना एथेनॉल है? 20% से ज़्यादा मिलावट करने वाली कंपनियों पर कार्रवाई कब होगी?

और डिबेट की चुनौती अब भी खड़ी है। ये मुद्दा भी जोड़ लेंगे - आपकी नीतियों से असल में फ़ायदा किसे हो रहा है?

पेट्रोल में एथनॉल की मिलावट पर खुलासा करते हुए आज कर्नाटक के खाद्य एवं उपभोक्ता मंत्री रिजवान अरशद ने लैब रिपोर्ट जारी की हैं। रिपोर्ट बता रही हैं कि इंडियन ऑयल, HP जैसी कई कंपनियों के पेट्रोल में एथनॉल की मिलावट 27-31% है, जबकि इसको E20 के नाम पर बेचा जा रहा है।ये देश के करोड़ों वाहन चालकों के साथ छलावा है,एक तो तेल महँगा,ऊपर से मिलावटी और फिर ईंजन का बेड़ागर्क।

Protecting consumers from exploitation and ensuring accountability are our foremost responsibilities. The Department of Legal Metrology, led by Minister Shri @ArshadRizwan has conducted extensive inspections across Karnataka under Mission Nikhara. Independent laboratory tests have revealed alarming levels of ethanol blending in petrol samples from major oil companies, with some recording levels as high as 31.2%, well beyond the prescribed E20 limit.

While the Union Government speaks of the benefits of ethanol blending and energy security, it cannot turn a blind eye to the violation of E20 norms and blend more ethanol thereby imposing financial burden on ordinary citizens. Reduced mileage, potential vehicle damage and rising maintenance costs are concerns that deserve serious attention. It is unacceptable that consumers should bear the cost while oil companies continue to report substantial profits.

We demand that the Union Government:

1.⁠ ⁠Publicly disclose the actual ethanol content in petrol supplied across the country.
2.⁠ ⁠Initiate strict legal action against oil companies found exceeding the prescribed blending limits and make petrol pump level audit reports public.
3.⁠ ⁠Establish an E20 Damage Compensation Fund with a simple, time-bound mechanism to compensate affected vehicle owners.
4.⁠ ⁠Make disclosure of ethanol blending levels mandatory at every petrol station and ensure consumers have the choice of fuel suitable for their vehicles.

The Government of Karnataka will continue its inspections and stand firmly with consumers to ensure transparency, accountability and the right to quality fuel at every petrol station.

The founder of the wearable device Temple, Mr. Deepinder Goyal (who has blocked me on Twitter) has now put out an official statement regarding concerns raised by the medical community on the said device being a scam.

As expected, he has written a word salad. This man has provided no real evidence or proof that his device, which he is selling for INR 85,000/- can measure and interpret brain flow from a superficial artery (superficial temporal artery - which is an extracranial artery - meaning a blood vessel placed entirely outside the skull, supplying blood to the side of the face, temple, and scalp regions).

His own Science Lead (Avi Roy) has accepted that the fact that their device is not yet proven to measure brain flow or "entropy" as they claim on their website and additionally, has directly addressed concerns of poor methodology as well as statisitical misrepresentation, without respond to clear evidence of data falsification in their pre-print papers.

Other wearables like Whoop (which he cited) measured and validated exactly what the wearable can measure within limits of human anatomy and physiology. Temple is overdoing it and defrauding its potential customers. The device can only measure blood flow and flushing to the face in humans and has ansolutely NOTHING to do with the brain as they claim. This is the issue, not what can happen in the future. The device itself fails its primary objective.

There is no our science and your science. But there is bad science, fringe science and science fraud and Team Temple, embraced all of these.

Temple device is a scam. There is no doubt about it. The question is however, how long can this man and his team keep defrauding people under the garb of "we are spending millions for you" or "we are trying our best" or "we are taking the risk" kind of responses?

These farts in the windtunnel responses are not what is expected from a company who's website claims "solid science". There is solid fraud though - pathetic little businessmen.

ತೈಲ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ, ನಿಯಮ ಪಾಲನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಗಂಭೀರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಲಾಯಿತು.
