Today I found out my beloved dog, my best friend of almost 8 years, my support during my rough pregnancy, has a tumor. It is most likely going to take her from us. While sobbing over the news, my 4 month old baby cried for me to hold him.

I realized now my emotions will be secondary. My processing of things will be more internal than external because I will be now guiding him through his emotions. I felt so incredibly old. I felt so removed from the situation.
