“LAS-## SUPERNOVA”

Effectively a chaff clearing Quasar cannon, the Supernova charges a blast of light that fries lightly armored enemies in a wide area before going on cooldown.

Very effective against hordes of bugs/squids.

#HELLDIVERS2 Tac-pack concept (wip)

"AX/Beehive" drone backpack.

Deploys 8 autonomous drones to individually stun and damage nearby enemies.

Pinging an enemy latches all drones onto them instead.

Each drone returns to charge at the hive after 2 second of stunning an enemy.

@RstyShcklfrd556 Flash bulb was the idea yeah, but being AT or even heavy pen would make it feel like another quasar cannon. The idea is to instantly vaporize a wave of chaff. As for being expendable, I dunno I’ll think about it. Would have to be pretty damn good at chaff clear to be single use.

@medkitbag @NewYorxer The point of the weapon is to clear chaff instantaneously. Maybe it could have medium pen point blank, but that’s about it. It’s pretty much a cracked out flash bulb

@MGS_hypeguy Never played the halo games, but that beam in the image looks pretty narrow. I was thinking more of a wider flashlight that vaporizes chaff caught in the beam

@GoopieSploopie I’ve seen stuff online about flash bulbs being unusable after being used once or twice at max capacity. So a giant expendable flash bulb that clears out waves of chaff sounds pretty neat yeah
