Sorry I read the question wrong, usually I prefer to enter when it’s “setting up” . Your risk is limited to a certain extent when you’re buying in this range. While with with breakouts, many times it can be a false breakout. Your thesis #1 priority is your risk

absolutely, separating your accounts is crucial. You don't want to take a bad day trade and then you end up messing around with your swing positions as a revenge trade lol.
I believe new traders shouldn’t chase news plays. Let the ticker make up its mind. You don’t want to be in the situation of where it’s a “buy the hype, sell the news”. Better to wait for a pullback so your risk is limited as there’s a support to guide you.
