Today, @NYCCouncil passed Int. 1216A, which will provide salons with multilingual posters that display resources for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. This will ensure survivors are met where they are, in trusted spaces, with the resources they need.

We can't just be a city that punishes people for violence, can't just cynically exploit the pain of survivors to direct more $ to policing & cages, we have to actually meet survivors' needs.
