Solutions-Not Politics! We seek novel solutions to strengthen our democracy, increase prosperity, tackle tough social issues, and contribute to a better world.
You’re absolutely right, there’s nothing wrong with being on the heavy side, in fact I’ve had the honor of dating lovely women across the size spectrum. But if someone is going to publish a wildly unrealistic image depicting Trump as being super buff, it’s fair game to post an equal-but-opposite image of him anything-but buff, I believe. Besides, sumo wrestlers are in fact first-rate athletes so their large bodies shouldn’t be mistaken for lack of fitness. Thanks for your important comment.
@mattvanswol The “SAVE” aimed to “solve” a nonexistent problem; it was a political stunt, pure and simple. And… the courts would’ve struck it down anyway.
Just a couple of points in response: 1) it was meant as a humorous post but as with any humor sadly some will find it offensive , and 2) there’ve been a number of critiques that say that the renovated reflecting pool (including paint/coating choices and a bright blue finish) makes it in fact look more like a swimming pool. To be sure, w/o actually seeing it in person it’s hard to know with certainty. Have you seen it in person?
@rexblacksmith@Microinteracti1 Thanks for your comment. I lived in Japan many years and am a huge fan of sumo. You’re right, pro sumo wrestlers are first rate athletes. That’s why I referred to “Senior Sumo” in this post to make a distinction
@WalshFreedom@StephF7504 “Trump attacks our elections.”
Let’s be precise: he only attacks the elections when he doesn’t like the results. If he likes the results, no one is a bigger believer in our elections than he, our Dear Leader.
@Gianl1974@sweettechgrad “Most of them hated Obama for two main reasons.
1. He's a Democrat
2. Because he's half Black”
To Trump supporters the truly odios combination is: a Democrat, black, and a woman.
