@pumpketo At the time GG was airing i always theorized that if Zanmetsumon appeared he'd be a Gulus evolution that happened after he devoured Ryudamon as he does retain not only some elements of Ryudamon, but also elements from Gyuukimon which Ryudamon had become.

@pumpketo I will say, Bombermon, Zanmetsumon and Fumamon all somewhat resemble other Digimon that Gammamon has interacted during the series. Bombermon and Tailmon Uver, Zanmetsumon and Ryudamon, Fumamon and Sealsdramon.
