A great alternative to tee work.
Using hitting plyos and a mini trampoline gives hitters a varying stimulus to adjust to and challenges hand-eye coordination more than a tee does. Heavier hitting plyos promotes stronger positioning at contact as well. Try it out!
SS Keaton Schleich (Rockford Christian, 2026) drills a ball into the left field fence for a double.

A few of my favorite constraints to enhance ground ball work:
• Land from an elevated surface as the ball is hit to simulate the prep-step flow.
• Work around the tee to feel energy going right-to-left into the throw across the infield.
Creating some competition with a simplistic drill, get a lot of quality reps in a short period of time.
First round: Middle
Second Round: Forehand
Third Round: Backhand
Can manipulate the scoring as the rounds go to make each round a “close” game (double-or-nothing).
The Facility Expansion is complete!! Our players are underway with their performance training programs. Stay tuned for more videos of our athletes as they progress through the offseason!
Week 6 of the Facility Expansion included installing our slow motion cameras, mounting the TVs, and putting the cables up. Still a lot to be done, but getting closer to our final goal!!
⚾ Fielding Tip ⚾
To help field the ball on a short hop or a long hop (and avoid the in-between hop), we can turn our body sideways to give ourselves more depth in our range. This gives us more options on how to play a bounce.
Simple but Effective Hitting Drill:
Bounce = Go opposite field
No Bounce = Pull it
Hitters will learn to be on time for the fastball, while developing their ability to adjust & slow down for something slower.
Max has been consistently training with us since we opened, and has been packing on the muscle 💪. He has gained over 7mph on his throwing velocity 🔥. This kid is capable of anything, watch out for him 👀
