Particular attention was given to the newly established Center for Culture of Turkic Peoples at the University of Warsaw, which is expected to become a regional hub for academic and cultural collaboration.

The Center for Culture of Turkic Peoples was officially inaugurated at the University of Warsaw with the support of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
The opening brought together representatives of the Turkic states, academia, and students, marking an important step in strengthening academic and cultural cooperation across Eurasia.
The Center will serve as a venue for education, exhibitions, workshops, and scholarly exchange, contributing to the promotion of the rich cultural heritage, languages, history, and traditions of the Turkic peoples in Poland while strengthening intercultural dialogue across Eurasia.
Special appreciation was expressed to H.E. Ambassador Nargiz Gurbanova and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Poland for their dedicated support and valuable contribution to the realization of this initiative.

President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Prof. Aktoty Raimkulova held a meeting with the Permanent Delegates of the Turkic States to UNESCO to discuss common cultural diplomacy priorities and future cooperation.
The participants reviewed the outcomes of major cultural, academic, and humanitarian initiatives implemented jointly in recent years and emphasized the vital role of the Permanent Delegations’ diplomatic support in advancing the Foundation’s global projects.
Particular attention was given to safeguarding and promoting the common heritage of the Turkic peoples, expanding cooperation with cultural institutions and partner organizations in Paris, and increasing the visibility of Turkic heritage through international platforms.
The parties also discussed the Foundation’s strategic plans for 2026, which include a series of international events aimed at raising global awareness of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic World. The meeting concluded with an agreement on new joint projects and strategic steps to further strengthen cooperation.

The parties discussed support for the Foundation’s international initiatives, highlighted flagship projects such as The Cultural Code of the Turkic World and Heritage of Turkic Folklore, and reaffirmed the importance of close cooperation in promoting the shared cultural heritage of Turkic peoples at UNESCO.
During the working visit to Paris, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Prof. Aktoty Raimkulova met with Krista Pikkat, Director of Culture and Emergencies at UNESCO.
The parties discussed safeguarding cultural heritage in emergency situations, combating illicit trafficking of cultural property, and advancing joint initiatives to enhance regional and international cooperation. The meeting concluded with an agreement to deepen partnership in pursuit of shared humanitarian goals.
On June 1, 2026, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Prof. Aktoty Raimkulova, met with Lazare Eloundou Assomo, Acting UNESCO Deputy Director-General for Culture and Director of the World Heritage Centre.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in safeguarding the cultural and natural heritage of the Turkic World, advancing institutional partnerships, and promoting innovative approaches to heritage preservation.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen strategic cooperation for the benefit of future generations.

A remarkable contribution to the 90th anniversary of Olzhas Suleimenov: the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation presented the book “Olzhas Suleimenov Through the Eyes of Azerbaijan” at the VII International Forum for the Rapprochement of Cultures of Eurasia in Almaty 🇰🇿.
The publication features historical dialogues between Olzhas Suleimenov and National Leader Heydar Aliyev, interviews, official decrees of President H.E. Ilham Aliyev, as well as articles and poems by prominent Azerbaijani intellectuals dedicated to the great poet’s life and legacy.
The book was warmly welcomed by forum participants and became a meaningful cultural contribution to the jubilee celebrations.

Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation presented key scholarly publications marking the 100th anniversary of the First Baku Turkological Congress at the National Library of Kazakhstan in Almaty 🇰🇿.
Among them were the monograph “The First Turkological Congress” by Academician Nizami Jafarov, prominent scholars Mahira Huseynova, and Aysel Garibli, as well as the chronicle “1926/2026: The 100th Anniversary of the First Baku Turkological Congress,” prepared with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The publications highlight the shared historical memory and scientific heritage of the Turkic peoples, emphasizing the lasting legacy of the 1926 Congress for Turkology and the spiritual unity of the Turkic world.
The event gathered scholars, academics, officials, and cultural figures from across the Turkic world. It was also noted that over the past two years the Foundation has published more than 60 major works dedicated to preserving and promoting the common cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples.

An international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Baku Turkological Congress has commenced in Almaty at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University 🇰🇿.
The conference, titled “The Legacy of the First Baku Turkology Congress and the Turkic World in the 21st Century,” brings together leading international organizations of the Turkic World, prominent scholars, intellectuals, and public figures.
Organized jointly by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Turkic Academy, TÜRKSOY, the Turkish Language Association, Baku State University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the conference aims to rethink the historical achievements of Turkology in the context of contemporary global and digital challenges, while strengthening scientific integration among Turkic states.
Participants highlighted the historic significance of the First Turkological Congress held in Baku in 1926 and its enduring role in advancing the common language, history, culture, and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples.
