@SolBrudda@formularacers_ You're aware that McLaren are present for the measurements right? It's not just the scrutineer showing up and telling them "OH sorry guys, your car is illegal". They get to see the measurement being done with their own eyes.
@Podgerthefirst@fia@ScuderiaFerrari@redbullracing@Ben_Sulayem If you're gonna complain about Red Bull taking an engine at Brazil, then any complaints about HAM losing 2021 is completely worthless. Because Hamilton and Bottas were taking new engines in 2021 like a fat kid eating cakes at a birthday party.
@Norv675@F1WDC2021@fia Lewis and Bottas were taking engines in 2021 like a fat kid taking cakes at a birthday party. If you're gonna complain about Max taking an engine at Brazil, you might not want to speak about 2021 in the very same tweet.
@jay_lee_cook@DaveDoesAThingy@SpannersReady No it isn't. It's a lot of cars in a line, compared to a lot of cars going side by side at varying speeds (due to some having bad starts) on a standing start.
@StCroixKeegan @DaveDoesAThingy@SpannersReady No he wasn't. He dropped behind when they went into the corner, and as such was no longer entitled to space when they reached the apex.
@chickenuggets29 @TheTechnician44@AutoPulseX With multiple cars fighting over a corner, the racing line might change because of space constrictions.
In that case, the racing line is whatever line the driver that wins the corner decides is best in the given situation.
Try again.
@MugelloMig@SpannersReady No you don't. You're not required to leave DA SPACE - no matter how excited Alonso get on the radio.
Only time you are required is when defending off the racing line (FIA Sporting Code, Appendix L).
@hamchester44@Vetteleclerc Rules say Kimi shouldn't give space to PIA. Rules say PIA should judge better next time and not go for a move he can't complete, especially not without locking up.
LEC is just sour that he was a casuality of the situation. If in Kimis position, he'd argue he did nothing wrong.
@RonaldvanBakel@Vetteleclerc There's no "randomness" here. Charles are literally arguing against the rules. Kimi is entitled to choose the racing line.
He's just sour because he was a casualty of the situation.
@asvanth1808 Kimi is entitled to. Oscar hasn't earned the racing line. He has to avoid contact.
Kimi can choose whatever racing line he wants. Oscar went for something too optimistic, and also locked up.
@DaveDoesAThingy@SpannersReady No requirement to do so. Only time you have to leave a cars with is if you defend off the racing line. This is in the FIA Sporting Code, Appendix L.
If you defend off the line, you don't have to leave a cars width if you're entitled to the corner.
@chickenuggets29 @TheTechnician44@AutoPulseX You're failing to acknowledge that your interpreration of the rules is simply wrong.
Stewards say Max had the racing line. Max was at the apex first. Not much to "acknowledge". Max was alongside Lewis before they started turning in. Go watch it again.
@chickenuggets29 @TheTechnician44@AutoPulseX No, you're thinking of the Dutch GP. None of the penalties i just posted was removed.
Also, something being ruled a racing incident doesn't mean the other driver isn't entitled to the line.
@F1_driven@44britcedes Lewis is the car behind and rams another car. Doesn't really need an explanation.
I disagree with the penalty for other reasons (Colapinto wiggled to the left), but the reason itself is pretty self-explanatory.
@outheregoing@Crypto_MikeNL@fastpitstop Because staying in control is generally about lockups. If the driver has steering action, he's in control. He's also allowed to take kerb.
Your definition of "out of control" is simply wrong. Stewards didn't consider him out of control. Hence, he's in control, made the corner.
@outheregoing@Crypto_MikeNL@fastpitstop Refs can miss stuff (note, btw, that in F1, it's generally race control who refers matters to the Stewards, so it's RC who missed it, not the stewards). But there's a difference between refs missing stuff and making wrong calls.
Here we are talking about stuff that was ruled on.
@GFSantos85@z93565@MV33Racing That rule was voted for by most of the drivers. See below.
If 19/20 of the best drivers in the world favors these rules, consider for a moment that it's you - and not them - who's wrong here. If you can't outbrake someone on the inside, we wouldn't have any corner overtaking.
@MeirickChris@outheregoing@Crypto_MikeNL@fastpitstop I guess the F1 drivers who voted for these rules are also idiots?
If 19/20 of the best* drivers in the world thinks the racing rules are a good idea, consider for a moment that it's you - and not them - who's the idiots here.
