I asked Joe Flacco if the NFL has a quarterback development problem and he launched an impassioned take on how personal calls have changed games and hurt the position and sport.
"We signed up to get hurt, you might not like that but it's what we kinda did." Watch:
Here's how we will crown a national champion January 1st while saving bowl season and fixing the recruiting/portal calendar issue
From the desk of the future CFB Commissioner...
#Indiana football started in 1899.
They now have six total bowl victories in program history.
The dates:
• Dec. 21, 1979
• Dec. 28, 1988
• Dec. 31, 1991
• Jan. 1, 2026
• Jan. 9, 2026
• Jan. 19, 2026
So the Hoosiers won as many bowl games in the last 19 days as they had in the previous 125 years combined.
A truly mind-blowing story.
@HickeyJuke@clawrence@Re2pectsport You’re right. And the numbers are pretty irrelevant as they’re being renegotiated constantly.
Estimates for B1G 2025 ≈ $75m, 2026 may be north of $80m.
I would agree they’re jealous of the playoff money as ND doesn’t split it but the TV deals are pretty much a wash imo
@HickeyJuke@clawrence@Re2pectsport TV deal payouts per team:
B1G ≈ $60M
SEC ≈ $51M
ACC ≈ $45M
Notre Dame ≈ $22M
The only way ND gets close in revenue is by going on a playoff run because they don’t have to share profits. Maybe the powers that be are squeezing ND - but I don’t think the P5 covets their deal.
Have to think that maybe that last few series against Michigan led OSU to believe they could bully IU. I can’t think of another reason to run the 3 TE sets that have been pretty paltry all year.
Oh well! Congrats to IU.
College football is unmatched
They showed Jim Knowles - and fans started booing.
They then showed Matt Patricia and fans cheered
They went back and forth for a while.
LB Arvell Reese is everywhere on the OSU-UT tape.
He's casually forklifts a 310-pound blocker on this rep and has the speed to flush Arch. Matt Patricia really weaponized him in this game.
