If your govt is genuinely concerned about climate change and reducing India’s oil import bill, why are PHEVs and strong hybrid cars still taxed at 28% GST, while EVs attract only 5% GST? Why not bring GST on PHEV hybrids down to 7–8%?

If the objective is truly to reduce oil imports and emissions, then make cleaner technology affordable, not just the technology backed by powerful corporate interests. Give us a genuine choice. Reduce GST on PHEV &strong hybrids to 7–8%.
