i love this fandom so bad cause wdym y'all saw the news of them boycotting grammys cause of their constant racism and decided to put the song where they address this very racism on #1

"BTS's Arirang is not an album that requires more validation. This April, the band'a comeback debuted atop the Billboard 200 with the biggest single week of the year so far moving 641K units, more than chart-toppers like Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, and Drake. […] So it's not like the group needs a Grammy"
the fact arirang was so much bigger than any of their albums still they decided to not submit it to the grammys bc they cant allow someone to limit their music to a category
this clearly shows how bts see music as an art rather than as something that just sells
The craziest part is that BTS became the first act ever to reject a racist award show, and it will forever go down as one of their most historic moments.
Sometimes the bravest decision isn't chasing what you've always wanted, it's choosing yourself instead. If a space repeatedly makes you feel unseen or unwelcome, protecting your peace is never a loss. BTS continues to teach that lesson to me.
I think the world isn't giving BTS enough credits for their incredible storytelling through cinematographic music videos and hauntingly beautiful from their honest emotions, hearts on their sleeves, that even something that is fundamentally monotonous & painful, can be beautiful.
Only thing ARMYs can do is hype ARIRANG more than anything right now, this is not the end. ARIRANG needs to be on chart & talked about more & mote.
Our main action should be keeping ARIRANG in front verybody's eyes & keep reminding em that it's a fckin masterpiece.
