Today, we’re absolutely delighted to launch a brand-new look for the #UKWF.
Our new logo reflects the #transformation that our organisation has taken over the last 12 months as we’ve developed a clearer voice for our #members across the #UK#weighing industry.

We welcome the Government's announcement yesterday that there will be no change in weights and measures regulation to re-introduce #imperialmeasures, and the Government can now focus on the real issues facing our industry, such as ensuring regs keep pace with tech innovation.
With @CTSI_UK, we're quoted in this article on concerning Gov stats on regulatory compliance in weights and measures in retail, and the link to the declining resource in trading standards depts to carry out regulatory enforcement. Trading standards must be better resourced.
We're pleased to announce UKWF is now an affiliate partner of @MakeUK_ Our members can now access Make's insights, webinars and events, as well as adding our voice to their efforts to represent the UK manufacturing industry at the highest level of Government. #manufacturing
..open and adaptable to all changes implemented since Brexit, but what we need from the Government now is consistency and stability in its decision-making on new regulatory regimes.
We know there will be some benefits from the Gov's announcement that it is reversing its decision to require UKCA markings on all of our products, and will accept CE markings indefinitely. But we're disappointed by the failure to recognise the significant financial investment..
..highly-regulated industries like our own have made in preparing for the now potentially defunct UKCA marking system - investment that could have been better spent on innovation and strengthening our industry. UKWF member companies have proven themselves..
Interesting article highlighting the impact of falling numbers of trading standards officers on the regulation of weights and measures - and what it might mean for consumers. @CTSI_UK#legalmetrology#tradingstandards
