Uhm... Today, I heard something that broke my heart and brought me to tears. 💔
I met a young man who recently reverted to Islam. He might be around my age. His story made me realize why some Nigerian politicians say they can't believe people can be so poor that they struggle to feed themselves. I understand that disbelief because I also couldn't believe what I heard about Muhammad. As in can someone be this poor? 🥹
I was told that Muhammad’s Christian community pressured him to immediately repay a debt simply because he left their religion and embraced Islam.
Do you know how much the debt is?
Just ₦5,000. Yes, the same 5k that can't even buy a proper shawarma at some places in Abuja.
People are truly suffering. This is just one of many heartbreaking stories I heard in a village within the Abuja Municipal Area Council.
May Allah ease Muhammad's affairs, keep him steadfast upon Islam, and make this new chapter of his life a means of success for him. 🤲🏽🤍
