Good Morning Everyone,Faith over Fear!
Hope you all have a great day!
“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?”
Psalms 56:3-4 NKJV
Some fellas were out playing in a parking lot, while a 19 year old, distracted driver comes down the lane and hits one guy with her vehicle.
She received 18 months in jail, and a 3 year license suspension.
In Ohio, if it was vehicular manslaughter, one usually gets 5-10 years in prison.
For non death related, its usually a large fine and a lengthy suspension.
Should the law be tougher on distracted drivers?
2/17/1801 Thomas Jefferson is elected the third president of the United States. The election constitutes the first peaceful transfer of power from one political party to another in the United States. By 1800, when he decided to run, Jefferson possessed impressive political credentials. He drafted the Declaration of Independence, served on two Continental Congresses, was minister to France, Secretary of State under George Washington, and was John Adams vice president. Vicious partisan warfare characterized the campaign of 1800 between Democratic-Republicans Jefferson and Aaron Burr and Federalists John Adams, Charles C. Pinckney and John Jay. Pro-British Federalists wanted to implement English-style policies in American government. In contrast, Jefferson's Republicans preferred limited government, unadulterated states rights, and a primary agrarian economy. They feared the Federalists would abandon revolutionary ideals and revert back to English monarchical tradition. Jefferson had resigned as SOS under Washington when he supported Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton's plan for a national bank. It was a bloodless but ugly campaign as both sides attacked each other in the press, mostly anonymously. Federalist Hamilton called VP candidate Burr the most unfit man for the office of president. This led Burr to challenge Hamilton to a duel that ended in Hamilton's d3ath in 1804. In fact, the election was so contentious, that a contingent of sword-bearing soldiers escorted Jefferson to his swearing in ceremony on March 4, 1801, over fear of reprisal. Jefferson sought to heal political differences by graciously proclaiming, "We are all Republicans, we are all Federalists." Jefferson tried to appease both sides in his term, so much so he overwhelmingly elected to a second term. The election of 1800 was so problematic though, they were later improved by the 12th Ammendment, which was ratified in 1804. This does sound a lot like elections of today!🇺🇲

Daily devotional 2/17/26
Our hope is anchored in a breathtaking promise: "the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as waters cover the sea." This is not a thin layer or partial awareness, but a complete, overflowing fullness-God present everywhere, known and enjoyed in every place. The prophet Habakkuk wrestled honestly with God, questioning why injustice
seemed to prevail and why the wicked were allowed to judge God's people. God's response lifted Habakkuk's eyes beyond the immediate crisis. Though God does address evil, His ultimate purpose reaches far beyond judgment. His heart is that all the earth would truly know Him.
In Scripture, "knowledge" is not mere information. In Hebrew thought, to know God is relational-it speaks of intimacy, trust, love, and lived experience. It is the same word used to describe the deepest human relationship or marriage. God is not aiming to fill the world with facts about Himself, but with people who walk with Him, listen to Him, and love Him with all their hearts!
Habakkuk's vision reminds us that history is moving toward this end. Even in seasons of confusion or injustice, God is steadily working to reveal His glory. Our hope rests in this certainty: one day, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the goodness of the Glory of the Lord!
Today, we have an amazing opportunity to pray for people all around the world, especially those of different faith traditions, that they would have an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
Pray that they might be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord!

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán doubled down Monday on using Russian crude oil during a meeting with US SOS Marco Rubio, who defended it as a perk of Orbán's closeness with Trump. Orbán signaled while Budapest would sign a civilian-nuclear cooperation agreement heralded by the US, Hungary will remain Russia's biggest European energy customer.

In New York, a couple people were shoved off the platform onto the tracks of the Subway.
Would you jump into action and help these folks?
New York doesn't seem to be the place worth visiting right now, that's for sure. 🤕💣
THIS 👇lovely young woman’s name is Breanna Bevenue from Henrietta, Oklahoma. Her rendition of the national anthem is one of the best I’ve heard in while, just her voice and a microphone. Well done Breanna! 🎶🎤♥️
President Trump on Monday ordered FEMA to get involved on a wastewater spill that has been spilling raw sewage into the Potomac River since Jan 19. He blames state and local officials in Maryland and Washington DC. President Trump said on Truth Social, "There is a massive Ecological Disaster unfolding in the Potomac River as a result of the Gross Mismanagement of Local Democratic Leaders, particularly, Gov Wes Moore, of Maryland." Millions of gallons of raw sewage continues dumping into the Potomac when no plans of how to repair it.
