Coming Soon: ‘#AntonyGormley: WITNESS: Early Lead Works’ at White Cube Mason’s Yard
Featuring a selection of Antony Gormley’s early lead sculptures from the mid-1970s to 90s, the exhibition showcases some of the most important works from the artist’s career.
‘WITNESS’ reveals how the artist’s initial experimentations with lead yielded results that laid the foundations for many subsequent bodies of work, representing a major breakthrough in his visual language.
In conjunction with the #exhibition, the artist will be joined by curator and White Cube's Global Artistic Director, Susan May, for a conversation hosted at The Royal Institution on the evening of 23 April 2025 (6.30–7.30 BST).
📍 WITNESS: Early Lead Works’ is on view at #WhiteCube Mason’s Yard from 23 April to 8 June 2025

In Focus: #DavidAltmejd’s ‘The Serpent’ (2025) at White Cube New York ✨🐍
Entering the first floor of the gallery, we are met with ‘The Serpent’, a monumental, winding serpent, composed of a chain of conjoined human heads, with its own head lifting to meet that of its conjurer, ‘Snake Charmer’.
The reciprocal relationship between these two sculptures enacts a dialogue between creation and creator, between matter and design – a tension that David both interrogates and exalts.
📍 ‘David Altmejd: The Serpent’ is on view at #WhiteCubeNewYork until 19 April 2025.
