@ManagerTactical Does viewership actually translate to participation, or are most kids still playing football, basketball, baseball, and hockey before soccer? Soccer just isn’t part of our culture to the degree the other sports are..yet.
@AlexiLalas Soccer ranks 5th most popular sports. In the U.S., most kids grow up with shoulder pads on, a baseball bat in their hands, a hockey stick, or a basketball—not a soccer ball. If not for NFL and if many US world class athletes picked up soccer at aged 4, we are a powerhouse.
@AlexiLalas@franklinleonard Who has the answers because we hear the same thing every 4 years, but there are never any answers. Our culture is football, baseball, basketball, hockey then soccer. Maybe we just don’t care enough to have answers.
@TheUfoJoe@MusicAndTruth He won’t do it. He only sits down for interviews where the host is friendly, already buys into his whole story, and isn’t experienced enough with the tech terms he throws around to actually push back or call him on anything. It’s all softballs and echo chamber stuff.
@TheUfoJoe@MusicAndTruth It’s obviously a tactic to come across as more authentic and believable. Something like feigned reluctance. He’s always saying how he regrets talking about it or that he’s not in the UFO business etc. yet he pops up every couple years with a press tour and new doc.
