I wrote this poem in dedication to Rahaf, an 8yr old Syrian girl I met in a refugee camp w/ no access to an education.
I’m launching a campaign to help build a school for Rahaf and her friends.
Pls donate what you can & share for awareness!

🇪🇸 After visiting Andalusia, Spain, I was in such awe of the history of Islam in Spain that I was inspired to write this poem.
I was touched by Shaykh Mohammad Idrissi and his vision to revive Spain’s Andalusian legacy by opening the first Islamic university in Spain in over 700 years!
I am launching a fundraiser campaign to open the Islamic University of Spain, Al-Andalusia campus this Fall 2026 by repaying the loan that secured the university and completing renovations by the end of Ramadan.
Help revive Spain’s Andalusian legacy by donating whatever you can & sharing this poem and campaign link:

The denial of structural racism abets further racism.
@CyFairISD School Board Trustee Scott Henry’s suggestion that the presence of more Black teachers correlates to a higher dropout rate in any district is false and racist. Our teachers and students deserve better.
I salute my dear brother Imam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin formerly known as H. Rap Brown! He is one of the great freedom-fighters of our time! Here are my words at a recent press conference calling for his freedom! #FreeImamJamil
