First paper from CHEN lab!🩸->🧠Can we use p-tau217 value to estimate PET-like map of AD pathology?🤔 We say YES!💡In two datasets (A4, ADNI), p-tau217 level can predict concurrent Ab (but NOT Ab change) and future tau accumulation almost everywhere! https://t.co/kHNyxH58CH
🚨The Psychology Department at Stony Brook University - SUNY is recruiting a PRODiG+ Fellow! This is a 2-year position that will lead directly into an Assistant Professor position, provided that the fellow makes adequate scholarly progress. Please apply/RT if interested!

🚨Please join us today (Monday 11/17) at 4pm in Room 4 to #AskAnything to the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Neuroscience @SfNJournals Dr. Sabine Kastner about scientific publishing. 🧠Early career researchers are especially welcome‼️@SfNtweets#Sfn2025#SfN25
🚨Please apply/RT if you or anyone may be interested! The Department of Psychology at Stony Brook University (SUNY at Stony Brook) is hiring a tenure track Assistant Professor in integrative neuroscience. We are on beautiful Long Island. Come work with us! https://t.co/b7TLXOi3fU
🚨If you are in Toronto for #AAIC25, come to room 701 at 2pm today (Tuesday)! I’ll present in the developing topic session on tau biomarkers on plasma ptau217 and PET!🩸->🧠
Hi Early Career Researchers (ECR) in neuroscience!🧠 I've had a great time working as an ECR advisory board member for the Journal of Neuroscience @SfNJournals and learned so much from my peers and journal editors! We now invite you to join us! @SfNtweets https://t.co/wvD1shcKo4
With the first blood test for AD approved for clinical use, there may be great use of it to infer regional pathology when PET is not an option. Hasom Moon (the first author!) is now studying the discordant cases to better understand and maximize the use of blood-based biomarkers!

With these relationships, we can use p-tau217 to estimate the staging/severity of tau in the brain🧠. The comparison between p-tau217-estimated tau map and actual tau PET shows high similarities(!) for both cross-sectional estimation (top) and longitudinal prediction (bottom)!

Come to sunny Puerto Rico ☀️ and see our poster on the predictive value of plasma pTau217 on tau PET at the regional level! Check out Poster No.80 on Thursday Jan 16th @HAIconference#HAI2025! 🧠 🩸
Global brain activity and its coupling with cerebrospinal fluid flow is related to tau pathology - Han - Alzheimer's & Dementia - Wiley Online Library https://t.co/ZLFF6DSnji
🚨Please check out our new paper on a double (triple?) dissociation between AD pathology and cog: frontal-parietal Aβ accumulation related to executive function (EF) decline, but not memory; temporal tau accumulation related to memory decline, but not EF! https://t.co/BHbrJIEQhr
THANKS to my coauthors @tessamharrison@susan_landau & those not on X for this exciting work! It gives us more hope in localizing early pathology and neural deficits driving differential cog declines, which is part of my current research! (I'm recruiting PhD🧑🎓 if u r interested!)
Join me as a colleague at Wayne State! We're recruiting a tenure track Assistant Professor in behavioral or cognitive neuroscience. Please apply via: https://t.co/yTvyBwKxl2
