These images were created using the FLUX.1 Kontext model through our custom software that’s still in development. The most important part of this process was dealing with a quality issue during repeated edits on the same image.
Even though the model gives 1024x1024 images, every time I edited the same image again, the quality got worse — it became pixelated and broken.
To fix this, I added the Flux.1 Dev model as a middle step. It helps create a higher-quality version of the edited image, so I can keep editing without losing quality. This created a smooth loop for continuous editing.
Of course, this doubled the cost per image to $0.08:
•$0.04 for FLUX.1 Kontext
•$0.04 for Flux.1 Dev
Note: normal upscaling didn’t work. I had to add the Flux.1 Dev layer to keep the image quality.
This was a great learning experience for me during development.
Now I’m excited and waiting for the FLUX.1 Kontext Dev release!
Thanks 🙏 @bfl_ml
