just tried FUD Markets on Solana and opened my first BTC short

the first thing that caught my attention was the simplicity

no unnecessary design or useless stuff
just a few options and straight to what you actually want to do
I deposited $5 by sending USDC to the Solana address provided by FUD Markets

then picked the 12H timeframe, found BTC, chose SHORT and put $1 into the position

the flow itself is pretty straightforward

you can see the time remaining and the LONG vs SHORT split before opening a position, which is actually useful

you can also create your own market if you don’t find the one you’re looking for and let others take a side

the main thing I’d improve is the waiting

there’s some delay while the deposit shows up and again while the position is waiting for confirmation

showing exactly what stage the transaction is at would make the experience much better

faster updates and clearer confirmation would make me more comfortable opening another position

and this is where @GenLayer gets interesting to me

as more markets become user-created and outcome-based, having a trustless layer for adjudicating outcomes becomes pretty important
