The OoT remake looks great, but not a fan of bringing dated elements forward for the sake of being faithful. I want a bold, ambitious remake, not just a graphical remaster.
Luckily the base game is still so great, but just feels like a bit of missed opportunity.
🚨 BREAKING: Republican Congressman Mike Collins signals his intent to end Social Security:
"[Old people need to] get off of Social Security [and] get back into the workforce."
@SicklyTheNinJa BoW is built on UE5, which makes it easy to hit the ground running to hire and get to work. Fable had to build a new team, build out Forza tech to support an RPG, train people on said proprietary tools, and do this during the height of the pandemic.
@nuhre_ Yea its a long dev cycle but you also have to remember that they had to build a compleyely new team and build out the engine tools to even make this game (forza tech didnt have existing systems for combat, dialog, etc etc), all during the height of the pandemic.
@G27Status People are forgetting that literally every single NPC in this game is a fully voiced and fleshed out character. Its pretty clear this is game is avoiding unnecessary padding and going for depth not breadth.
Crazy to see people reacting so negatively to this when so many open world games are roasted for being exhaustingly large and empty. Depth > breadth
Fable will have a main story of roughly 15–20 hours, Xbox confirmed in a new interview at Gamescom 2026.
Playground Games says the game is designed as a reasonably sized RPG rather than another massive adventure that takes hundreds of hours to finish.
“We have around 15–20 hours of mainline quest gameplay,” associate game director Will Kennedy told Polygon. He also revealed another 15–20 hours of side content and open-world exploration.
“you can literally play it forever if that’s what you want to do.”
@game_fabricator One thing I've wondered about is if 343 would ever consider a Star Wars Legends style reset for the post Halo 3 lore and EU.
I feel like most of the community would rally behind something like this.
@XboxOrNot@Daktof It's great. Tone-wise, artistically, and in terms of fundamentals (mechanics, enemies, sandbox, etc.) rivals the best of the series.
343 just forgot to build a full, content-rich game out of these things. It is the bones of an incredible game that was never finished.
As an ardent Reach defender, I never realized how much less fun its AI was to fight against until I played Campaign Evolved. The Elites in particular are so much worse than the original Halo 1 version.
@Caboose069@why_xbox Jesus christ this is a braindead take. Just play CE or CEA at this point. The point of a remake is to make the game at a modern day standard, which obviously includes features like vehicle boarding, destruction, etc.
I'm so sick of Doom. It has been 10 years with the current iteration. Was really hoping they would revive Quake or something else. If true I just hope it's another major reboot.

@ReactionaryLuma Nah I love this shit. CE was packed full of these types of details, like weapons on the ground spinning when they get shot, dead bodies bleeding when meleed, etc.
@Aozolai Weird to expect multiplayer from a game called Campaign Evolved. Yea, theater, campaign scoring, (and even other odd omissions like assassinations) should be there though.
If true, fucking stupid. Gradually expanding the sandbox as you get deeper into the campaign is what helps give the gameplay experience a sense of progression from level to level. Having the sandbox mostly unlocked from the rip makes that null.
