There is still a lot I want to achieve in this sport, and I believe this is the right place to do it. I’m very grateful for the trust the team has shown in me and excited for what we can continue to build together.”

Following his crash at La Vuelta, Tadej will not return to racing this season as he focuses fully on his recovery and rehabilitation.

“Right now, the most important thing is to recover properly and give my body the time it needs.”

JCFが2035年UCI世界自転車競技選手権、スーパー世界選手権の日本招致の本格的検討を発表。
嬉しい話ですが、分散開催による自治体側の負担、巨額の財政確保、選手育成、移動・物流・警備など課題は多く「あと9年しかない」感も。
とはいえ日本の自転車競技文化定着のため招致は頑張って欲しいです。
